Frequently Asked Questions

CBD is short for cannabidiol, one of the compounds found in the hemp plant. It belongs to a group of compounds known as phyto-cannabinoids.  There is a lot of research that suggests that CBD has many beneficial properties, and it is primarily used to promote wellness.

Phyto-cannabinoids are compounds that are naturally found in the hemp plant which are similar to the cannabanoids found naturally occurring in the human body. They are chemically active and are responsible for most of the well-known effects of the cannabis plant. Apart from CBD, other well-known cannabinoids are THC, CBG, and CBN.

There are many compounds present in the cannabis plant, and these include:

Terpenoids- The term terpenoids refers to a wide range of natural chemical compounds that are obtained from terpenes. They are categorized as modified terpenes because they have an extra functional group. This functional group typically contains oxygen atoms. Terpenes are organic compounds produced by some insects and plants that usually have a strong scent. Both terpenes and terpenoids are commonly used in essential oils.

Flavonoids- The term flavonoids refers to a wide array of phytonutrients, plant chemicals, present in almost every single fruit or vegetable. They are the most common type of plant chemicals with more than 6000 identified varieties. Flavonoids, together with carotenoids, are responsible for the bright and vivid colors in vegetables and fruits.

Omega fatty acids- Omega fatty acids are fats that are essential to the body that the body doesn't produce. The most well-known omega acid is omega three, which is vital for the proper functioning of the body. Research has shown that hemp is one of the most important sources of omega 3.

According to researchers, CBD works by interacting with the body's endocannabinoid system. CBD interacts with enzymes and receptors in the system, creating the effects we perceive.

The endocannabinoid system is a system of neurotransmitters, enzymes, and cell receptors that has a role in several key functions in the body. Researchers believe that the ECS plays a role in regulating appetite, the immune system, and thermoregulation.

The entourage effect is a scientific theory that every compound in cannabis works together, and by working together, they create a better effect than a single compound on its own. Each compound in cannabis has a different effect on the human body, and the overall effect is often greater than the effect produced by individual compounds.

CBD is not the same as marijuana. Marijuana refers to the entire plant, while CBD refers to one of the compounds found in the plant.

Hemp and marijuana are different names used to refer to the cannabis plant. However, there are some significant differences between the two. The major one is that hemp contains less than 0.3% of THC by dry weight, while marijuana contains 5 to 20% THC by dry weight.

Hemp seed oil and CBD oil are not the same. CBD oil is made by extracting oil from the hemp plant's flowers. Hemp seed oil is made by extracting oil from the hemp plant's seeds. Hemp seed oil has its own benefits, which are independent of the benefits of CBD oil.

Hemp seed oil does not contain CBD. This is because the hemp seeds do not contain CBD. This is because CBD is located in the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant.

Although both THC and CBD are compounds found in the cannabis plant, they are not the same. CBD is short for cannabidiol, a compound that primarily improves the body's wellness. THC, on the other hand, refers to tetrahydrocannabinol, the compound in cannabis that gets you high.

CBD and medical marijuana are not the same. As we have seen before, CBD is a compound found in the hemp plant that is primarily used to promote overall wellness. Medical marijuana, on the other hand, refers to marijuana that is taken to manage conditions and diseases.

Yes, pets can use CBD. In fact, Da'vid and Jessica's pets are big fans of our Imaginal Pet Chews. However, before you give your pet any product containing CBD, please consult with a vet who is familiar with CBD and knows your pet's history.

CBD isolate is a type of CBD that has been extracted and isolated from all other compounds. CBD isolate does not contain any of the other compounds found in the hemp plant.

Full-spectrum is a term used to refer to CBD products that contain all the compounds present in the hemp plant, including THC. The concentration and presence of these compounds is determined by the plant that was used to make the product.

Broad-spectrum is a term used to refer to CBD products that contain all the compounds present in the hemp plant except THC. Once the oil has been extracted, it undergoes further processing to eliminate THC (leaving only undetectable trace amounts).

There has been no instance of anyone overdosing on CBD, and according to the World Health Organisation, “CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile.”
